Winter Birthday Card

Hi card crafting bloggers. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

While I haven't done much blogging the past couple of months, it doesn't follow that I haven't kept up on the trends. I've been fascinated with the embossing paste mania and couldn't wait to try it out for myself. Oh my STARS, this stuff is SO FUN to play with.

I started this card with a simple light blue cardstock and used my favorite background stamp from Impression Obsession called "splatter" I used Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink and Soft Granite Shadow Ink to create a starry night backdrop. I love the three dimensional effect it gives. After using the embossing paste with a star stencil, I used Silver Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to make them really shine.

The heart is die cut and covered in glossy accents. The little critter is from Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods stamp set...my all time favorite stamp set ever. I colored him with Copics and covered him in Star Dust Stickles. Putting him in a party hat transforms this into a birthday card.

Happy stamping!

Christmas Project Cheer Part Two!

Hi! Terri here. I'm popping in as promised to share three more Christmas tags I've been working on for the holidays.

I love the freedom the larger tags give you because you are not limited in space.

This first tag is a Penny Black stamp with a Hero Arts sentiment. I love her spunk and fun personality and so I had to use her on a package for my daughter.

I went bright on the copic coloring and used Star Dust Stickles and my white gel pen for accents. It's amazing how much fun you can have with a white gel pen. Knowing when to stop having fun is the hard part for me. I finished her off with glossy accents on the goggles and the surf board.

So, yes…I jumped on the glittered snowflake band wagon. Who wouldn't after seeing what great results you can get from that yummy Clear Rock Candy Glitter?

More snowflakes? Yes please. I'm also in love with Evergreen Bough Distress Paint. I mixed in some Broken China and Brushed Pewter for this background. I silver heat embossed the greeting and of course, center stage is Lawn Fawn's adorable Polar Bear from their Critter Series.

Have a great weekend, and Merry Christmas!!

Happy Stamping!

Some Christmas Project Cheer

Hi. It's been a long time since my last post but that doesn't mean I've not been crafting. I've actually been very busy working on an art journal for my daughter. Hopefully, I will post pictures one of these days soon.

Today, I thought I'd share a sampling of some tags I've been working on while there is still a few days left before Christmas. Some of them are already under the tree so the pictures aren't the greatest. I hope you enjoy them anyway.

I know this Lawn Fawn Bunny has been around for awhile but some things are so cute they never grow old. I'll probably use it a few more times on a few more packages before I'm done stamping. :)

I love this deer in a Santa hat SO MUCH that I colored him multiple times and he flew out on many mailed cards and packages. My grandma used to have a book about Davy Deer and His New Red Scarf. It's not a scarf, but it's a hat…and it makes me happy.

I'm also digging the chalkboard look, so that is showing up a lot as well. I love how coloring with Prisma Colored Pencils shows up so well on black card stock.

I used some Penny Black Stamps on the next couple of tags. I think this boy and girl is so cute. Copic coloring during Christmas movies is fun and relaxing. Except the part about trying to keep what I'm coloring a secret from those watching the movies with me.

This poinsettia is also Penny Black. I tried a messy look by just coloring it in with sponge daubers. I don't know that I love it, but I'm intrigued enough to keep practicing.

This last tag, is a Hero Arts Christmas Tree Stamp. It's not a great picture so sorry about that. I colored the tree blue and red to match the wrapping paper. The stars are covered in Christmas Red Stickles although you can't really tell by the picture.

Tomorrow, I will post part two of my sampling of Christmas tags. Until, then, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season and enjoying all of the little things along the way.

Happy Stamping!!
